The Sara® Lite is a battery-powered standing and raising aid designed to raise and lower semi-dependent residents/patients for transfers and toileting. The lift can be operated safely and efficiently by a single caregiver. Weighing just 59 kg, the Sara Lite is an easy-to-use, flexible solution that can be used in a wide range of care settings.

Handheld control unit

Made from an extremely durable material with an integrated hook IPX7 (protected from water immersion, immersion for 30 minutes at a depth of up to 1 metre).

  • Mast-mounted second control panel will function even if the handheld control unit cable has been unplugged.
  • Emergency stopping device (red button) stops all electric functions.
  • Automatic safety cut-off to prevent raising excess weight.
  • System failure lower override (red ring) - in the event of the handheld control unit/dual switch malfunctioning, with a resident/patient still supported by the sling, the lowering process can be continued.
  • Automatic stop function to avoid lowering jib or spreader bar onto the resident/patient or an obstruction.
  • Hour meter - a small LCD display which shows the total duration of powered operation to help the caregiver calculate maintenance intervals.
  • Kneestrap to ensure that the knees are positioned safely and correctly.
  • Complies with CAN/CSA C22.2 NO.601 1-M 90, UL STD 2601-1 and IEC 60601-1.
